For all you fishermen out there...

As Shuswap Lake is one of the best areas to fish in the Okanagan, there are many who visit the sunny North Shuswap with but one goal in mind- catch the big one! In honour of all of the time spent trying to achieve this, and of those who simply love to fish, Anglemont Marina Ltd. has created the Monthly Fishing Derby. This takes place every month from May through September.

If you think that you've caught the big one, then bring it down to the marina's scale and get it's weight recorded. At the end of the month, the marina staff review the weights of all the fish brought in for that month. If yours turns out to be the biggest, then you will recieve a $25.00 gift certificate for Anglemont Marina Ltd.- good for anything in the store! And if you miss the prizewinner but still got lucky, bring your fish in anyway and have it weighed. A $25.00 gift certificate also goes to the person whose name is drawn from the hat at the end of every month, so what have you got to lose?
